Mega-kitsch and living room in Vienna’s Freihaus quarter

After our initial pop-up existence, we were very, very proud to open up the first permanent Vollpension generational café in Schleifmühlgasse 16, in Vienna’s 4 th district, close to the famous Naschmarkt outdoor market. Our grannies and grandpas are baking their cakes in the neon ovens in the open baking kitchens, surrounded by mega-kitschy furniture between open brick walls. And you can just watch them baking. A cosy, warm and snug feeling, many lovely and very different people of all ages who are open to the world: this is what you’ll find at our place. We have coffee and cake, breakfast, snacks and much more. In summer, you can spend your time in our huge outdoor ‘Schanigarten’ (Bambi is also there!), and when it gets cooler, inside on a sofa. We are not a traditional Viennese café, nor just a social project, but a social business with an extra mission: to create social impact and fight old-age poverty and isolation.
